Accessibility

Most people reading this are elderly or disabled, or helping someone who is. A website they cannot use would be a poor advertisement for a care agency.

What we aim for

We build this site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That is the standard most commonly referenced under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

What we have done

  • Text is large and set in high contrast against its background.
  • Every page works from the keyboard alone, without a mouse.
  • Photographs carry descriptions for screen readers, and the service-area map is described in words as well as drawn.
  • Forms have real labels, and errors say what is wrong in plain language rather than just turning a box red.
  • The site works on a phone, and reflows rather than forcing you to pinch and drag.
  • Nothing flashes, auto-plays with sound, or moves without you asking it to.

Where we fall short

Some documents we link to are PDFs produced elsewhere, and those are not always tagged for screen readers. If you need one of them in another format, ask us and we will read it to you over the phone or send it another way.

If something does not work

Tell us and we will fix it — and in the meantime we will help you do whatever you came here to do, over the phone.

No form to fill in, and no need to explain the technical detail — “the booking page will not work on my phone” is enough for us to start looking.

Take our guide to intake and getting started instead. It walks through what home care actually involves, what the waiver covers, and what happens first — no phone call, no form.
