We are hiring caregivers, Certified Nursing Assistants, LPNs and RNs across the ten Georgia counties we serve. If you are weighing up whether to apply, here is an honest account of what we look for and what the work is like.

What we look for

The right heart, then the right skills. We can teach a transfer technique. We cannot teach someone to notice that a client has gone quiet, or to fold a cardigan the way its owner likes it. Our clients tell us about the second kind of thing far more often than the first.

Reliability. A client waiting for a caregiver who does not arrive is not an inconvenience — it can mean no breakfast and no medication. Showing up, on time, consistently, is most of this job.

Honest communication. If something went wrong on a shift, we want to hear it from you first. Nobody is punished for reporting a problem here. People are held to account for hiding one.

Credentials in order. A current CNA certificate where the role requires it, clean background check, TB test, and CPR certification. We will tell you clearly what is needed before you start.

What the work is like

Mostly one-to-one, in someone's home. You might help with bathing and dressing, prepare a meal, drive to a doctor's appointment, do a load of laundry, and spend an hour talking. Some shifts are physically demanding; some are mostly companionship.

We try hard to keep the same caregiver with the same client. It is better for the client, and frankly it makes the job better too — you learn how someone takes their coffee and what their grandchildren are called.
