In-home care
Companionship in Atlanta
Some people are managing well physically but spend too much of the day alone. A companion brings conversation, activity and a reason to look forward to the day, along with peace of mind for the family.
What it includes
How we can help
- Conversation and emotional support
- Shared activities, such as a game of cards
- Walks
- Trips to the store
Who it's for
When this may be the right help
Companionship suits an older adult who lives alone or spends long stretches by themselves, and who would enjoy regular company even without needing help with personal care.
It also helps families who live at a distance or work during the day and want to know someone is checking in and spending real time with their parent.
How it works
How we provide companionship
We take the time to get to know your loved one, then match a caregiver based on needs, personality and preferences. A quiet reader and a chatty caregiver is a poor match no matter how good the training, and if the fit is not right, we keep going until it is.
Care available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Beyond Atlanta, we serve 20 Georgia counties.
Paying for care
How payment works
If your family member is approved for Medicaid EDWP, the services they receive are set out in their care plan. Ask us or their care coordinator how this help can fit into that plan.
Medicaid EDWP
The Elderly & Disabled Waiver Program — delivered as CCSP or SOURCE. If you have Medicaid but not the waiver, we help you apply.
Private pay
Direct payment for care services, with no insurance involved and no approval to wait for.
Long-term care insurance
Coverage through an existing long-term care policy. We can bill your carrier directly.
