Who it's for
When this may be the right help
Respite care is for the spouse, son, daughter or other relative who provides most of the care at home and needs regular time away, or has a trip or work commitment coming up.
You do not have to wait until you are exhausted. Regular breaks can help you keep caring for someone at home for longer.
How it works
How we provide respite care
Tell us what a typical day looks like, including routines and what works best. We use that to arrange cover, and we keep the same caregiver wherever we can so your family member sees a familiar face.
Care available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Beyond Atlanta, we serve 20 Georgia counties.
Paying for care
How payment works
Respite care is among the services the Medicaid EDWP waiver can pay for at home, once a person has been approved.
Medicaid EDWP
The Elderly & Disabled Waiver Program — delivered as CCSP or SOURCE. If you have Medicaid but not the waiver, we help you apply.
Private pay
Direct payment for care services, with no insurance involved and no approval to wait for.
Long-term care insurance
Coverage through an existing long-term care policy. We can bill your carrier directly.
